Petrichor is the smell of plant oils as they're released from the ground after rain. It's something that Khay has only ever read about.
The Petrichor books are a series of indie sci-fi graphic novels that follow the story of Khay, a qatari war refugee in western France as they try to survive in a world without water. While there, they meet Alice, a strange girl with alien eyes who seems unaware of the dire situation around her. Helping her escape capture proves to be the first step in unravelling a conspiracy on a global scale.
Though originally written in English, hardcover copies are only available in French currently, and this will remain the case for the forseeable future.

Le pétrichor est le parfum d'huiles sécrétées par des plantes lorsqu'elles sont libérées de la terre après la pluie. C'est quelque chose que Khay n'a rencontré que dans des livres.
Les livres Pétrichor sont une série de bandes dessinées indépendantes qui suivent l'histoire de Khay, un réfugié de guerre qatari venu en Bretagne pour tenter de survivre dans ce monde sans eau. Pendant cette aventure, Khay rencontre Alice, une fillette étrange avec des yeux d'extraterrestre qui semble confuse par la situation catastrophique dans laquelle elle se trouve. L'aider à échapper à la police devient le premier pas dans la déchéance d'un complot à échelle mondiale.
Bien qu'écrit en anglais dans un premier temps, la seule version physique disponible est en français grâce au travail de traduction de la superbe Anarof.
